Wait List & Reservations

​Our process begins with you filling out our adoption application. Please find it here - CLICK

Once you've completed our form and been accepted formally via email response, please send a wait list fee to us via email at vanislechillas@gmail.com. The wait list fee is $30.00 per chinchilla you wish to purchase, and is a non-refundable amount that goes toward your total. It is not an additional fee and it simplifies the reservation process for everyone!

After being contacted via email being notified of an availability, you have 24 hours to respond before I move on. If you pass, you will be moved to the top of the list for the next time. Please be mindful of the fact that I have many people waiting at any given time so I must follow a strict schedule and cannot make exceptions. Please stay up to date on our social media page(s) so that you know when to potentially expect to be contacted.

Guarantees & Support

​Luckily since we work only with quality stock, you're off to a good start when you choose a VI Chinchilla!

 

I guarantee that every chinchilla I sell is in good health, is fed a quality diet, and is provided adequate enrichment and socialization. There is a 48 hour guarantee on all health aspects, and a 2 year guarantee on malocclusion.

 

All of my breeding stock comes from malocclusion free lines. None of the animals I work with have a history of fur chewing or high stress. We pair together only the best quality animals, in terms of both type, temperament and health. Of course, life happens - so I am here to support you every step of the way, through the good and the bad! If your chinchilla falls ill for any reason, please contact me, it is my duty to help and I will do anything I can, as well as it being vital information for managing my breeding stock.

I do not offer refunds however if you are dissatisfied with your chinchilla for any reason do contact me and I will do my best to work out a resolution that makes everyone happy.

Adoption Policies

  • First come first serve basis and all adopters must have filled out my form and been approved prior to purchase​

  • All animals that are currently available will be posted on Facebook - we cannot promise that the website will always 100% accurately portray our availabilities - so follow us on social media.

  • 48 hour health guarantee after purchase, with a lifetime guarantee (replacements) for malocclusion

  • All chinchilla are sold on pet only contracts unless specifically requested/approved for breeding, but all chinchillas are sold with accurate pedigrees and all relevant information.

  • If you cannot keep your animal anymore, I require first right of refusal before it is rehomed somewhere else - it makes me feel more secure knowing where all of the animals I produce end up - and it is vital that anyone with my animals is able to contact me at any time with any query or concern.

  • Please be mindful that chinchillas may take 2 or more weeks to settle in to a new home, and may display defensive/fearful behaviours. When you first bring them home, do not push your interactions, move slowly and talk quietly. Offer them low-no sugar treats occasionally to bond. Do not force them out of the cage to start. Give them ample time to settle in, they're a long-lived family member so you'll want the bond to start well!
